Venenatis vitae, justo. Nullam dictum felis eu pede mollis pretium. Integer tincidunt. Cras dapibus. Vivamus elementum semper nisi. Aenean vulputate eleifend tellus. Aenean leo ligula

When it comes to beauty looks, bare is always beautiful—but so is a bit of color on the face. Fortunately the spring shows offered us both options this season. Makeup artists swept brilliant shades of blue and green on the eyes at Stella McCartney and Versus, slicked vivid crimson hues on lips at Jason Wu and Burberry, then emphasized neutral lips and glowing skin at shows like Dolce & Gabbana. There were moments of major lashes and brows but all of that was balanced by softly smudged-in eyeliner backstage. To emphasize this mix of strong versus subtle, play up the features you want to draw attention to with color—or a touch of sparkle (see Chanel, Gucci)—while keeping the rest of your look simple and glowing. Plus, check out the most anticipated hair trends of Spring 2013.

Red Signals

At first, it seemed like spring would be a season of pale lips. Then red colors hit with a bang, most noticeably at Burberry where models wore a creamy scarlet hue that generated major buzz. At Prada, makeup queen Pat McGrath went for a matte crimson, outlining the outermost part of lips in red pencil that accentuated the shape of the mouth (tip: this makes lips look bigger and fuller). All told, the season’s rouges ranged from pinky-red at Missoni and Oscar de la Renta to the classic power red at Jean Paul Gaultier to the dark and dramatic black cherry at Jonathan Saunders, proving the enduring appeal of being in the red.

The Great Celebrity Eyebrow Swap

We set out to prove how important eyebrows really are -- by replacing the worst celebrity arches with the best in Hollywood

You've heard it a million times: Great eyebrows can completely transform your look. But just in case you had any doubts, we did some instant celebrity eyebrow makeovers to show just how dramatic the change can be.

First, we sat down with eyebrow expert and owner of New York City's Boom Boom Brow Bar, Malynda Vigliotti, to choose the best arches in thick, medium, and thin shapes. Then, we took stars with just plain horrible brows and -- with a little Photoshop magic -- gave them a better set. The difference is remarkable. Even women who were beautiful to begin with look noticeably prettier with a new pair of face-framers.

Disclaimer: Although our brow makeovers are an upgrade, some of them look a little wonky since they're not the celebrities actual brows.' "There isn't one exact template or stencil," says Vigliotti. "Everyone's face is so different -- you need to work with what you've got." While she'd love to get her tweezers on these stars, the visuals are also gratifying. "It demonstrates how important brow shape really is," she says. Check out these celebs' new brows and who knows, maybe you'll get inspired to do your own brow revamp too.
